Hello everyone, my name is Michael Clark and I’m your guide for everything smart phone related! I am currently working as a freelance programmer, and in my spare time, I run this blog. I spend most of my time in front of a computer screen coding everything from websites to smartphone apps. In the early 2000’s, I received my computer science degree from the California Institute of Technology. Since then I’ve spent most of my adult life living in the great state of California. I am however, not originally from Cali. I actually grew up in a small town outside of Phoenix, Arizona. But ever since the dot com boom of the early 90’s, I’ve been completely obsessed with technology. This is what lead me to California, to pursue a degree in computer science. And after living here for four years, I just couldn’t bring myself to leave.
As you may have guessed, my most recent fascination has been with cell phones. Over the years I’ve taken on many smart phone app jobs. And as a result, I’ve noticed just how far we’ve come in such a short amount of time. To think just over 10 years ago our cell phones were primarily used for calling and texting, with some limited features such as email and cameras. Nowadays, cell phones do just about anything. You can browse the internet or video chat with someone halfway around the world. Even if a certain function doesn’t come standard on your smart phone, chances are you can find an app that will do the same job. Given how far we’ve come, I’m excited to see what the next 10 years bring us.
